Pastor, Dr. Ethan W. Ogletree Sr. received and developed the vision and mission to establish the New Hope Community Church. In February 2000 he founded the Vision Community which helped organize the Church and the first service was held June 4, 2000. Pastor Ogletree led the church's growth over the next four years from 19 members meeting in the living room of his home to over 200 members meeting in the temporary church location at Shotwell Middle School. In the Spring of 2003, New Hope and Sanctuary) and moved into the facility in February 2004. Since moving into the new building, New Hope's membership has grown to over 1200 members. Ministry and leads the Church's first building campaign to build the first of several facilities to service the New Hope Community. Additionally, he founded Corporation on which he serves as Chairman of the Pines Resort. Pastor Ogletree earned his Doctor of Ministry from The Houston Graduate School of Theology. He holds a Master of Divinity from Regents College of New York. Pastor Ogletree has been involved in ministry for more than ten years and has faithfully served at First Metropolitan Church as Dr. Ogletree’s gospel message appeals to all age groups, and is especially relevant to the younger generation. His former life experiences of homelessness and drug addiction fuels his message of hope, reconciliation and restoration through Jesus Christ.

First Lady Pamela Ogletree Pamela Ogletree is a sincere and inspiring woman who is always excited about the move of God. Her caring nature reflects an encouraging personality that warms the hearts of those who come in contact with her. She is a firm believer in Jesus Christ as a redeemer, rescuer and restorer regardless of past or present situations. Her message is one of God’s love and grace and His desire to be close to all of his children. Pamela often testifies of how she had minimal church exposure growing up. It wasn’t until the mid 1980’s when she found a tract in the laundry room of her apartments that she gave her life to Christ. Kneeling beside her bed that night and all alone, she tells of how her conviction came with a true understanding of sin and who God really is. Since then it has been her passion to evangelize others into that same knowledge.
She eventually became the co-director of new members at Brookhollow Church which had a church membership of over 8,000 at that time. In February 2000, Pamela co-founded New Hope Community Church with her husband, Dr. Ethan W. Ogletree Sr., having its first service on June 4th of that same year. Pastor and First Lady Ogletree led the church’s growth from 19 members meeting in their living room, to 200 members meeting at Shotwell Middle School to now over 1,200 members meeting in their current facility.
First Lady Pamela, current Director of Education and Women’s Ministries at New Hope, accepts and embraces the Holy Spirit’s gift of teaching and making God’s word exciting and practical for life transformation. With a favorite saying of “No one knows a sista’ like a sista’,” Pamela is the visionary of New Hope’s annual Re-Nu Women’s Revival. The revival is designed to encourage all women to discover their true purpose and destiny in Christ through dynamic speakers and inspirational entertainment.
Pamela holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Houston and a Masters of Education from Prairie View A&M University. She is a licensed professional counselor and is in private practice . Prior to opening her practice, Pamela served in education for fifteen years as a special education teacher and school counselor.
